Battle with a DemonBegin There were long sequences in fantastic settings which are very poorly remembered. One involved a complex of fairy ponds and waterfalls, like a huge natural version of a decorative waterfall in someone's back yard. I do not remember the action, but it had some fantastic elements (and some feeling of binding enchantments ?). The colors here were very bright and cheerful. (A missing sequence ?) I was in a large, very cluttered building complex. Most of it was of wood and it was very dusty, with boxes, exposed beams and supports everywhere. The colors in this sequence were subdued and grayish. Quite a few people were present, both men and women, all of whom were held here under a spell. They went about their own business, but were also in service of a master and could not leave the building. The details of this section are a little unclear, but I felt like an infiltrator rather than like a captive. I made my way to a narrow front lobby area and opened both the outside door and the door to the interior. I must have done something to loosen the spell. Calling through the interior door to a young man to make a run for it. I hoped he was not one who actually liked the situation here. If he did, he might inform his master and prevent the escape of others. He didn't, and took off. Many others followed as quickly as they could. The master of the place arrived now, a tall, slender, satanic sort of figure in dark cloths and dark hair (kind of like Jon Lackey but with fangs ?). He came up to me and grasped me, beginning a struggle which he obviously intended to win quickly with his inhuman strength. My own strength proved similar as we thrashed about on the floor in a very strenuous struggle. He began transforming himself into a hideous, poisonous, slimy drooling monster, but I followed each transformation, becoming myself a monster as strong and as toxic as he, warding off his fangs with heavy scales and immunity to his poisons. (There were times during the struggle when we seemed to be outside in a green field, or fighting suspended in the sky ?). It was a very close match and a bit uncertain, but at last I prevailed and he crumbled into smoke with a groan. At the time of this battle, men were gathering in front of the building to mount an attack. When I had won, many came within, (including some of those I had let out ?). They were wandering around looking at things, but I was searching through the place for any evidence of the demonic I had just defeated. Some people had found many feathers, and had them stuck upright on a table, crate, or similar surface. They had the appearance of hawk feathers, but I think they were some other kind. I instructed them to burn every feather they could find, as these could hold the power of the defeated master, allowing him to regain control over them. In the back I found some people with a charcoal fire going with a wok on it, preparing to cook some hamburgers and such. I had the feeling something of the sort I was looking for was behind them, and among some old clothes hanging there I found two long blond braids of hair. I was sure some of the smoke from the defeated master had taken residence in the hair and dipped the end into the hot wok. There was a shriek, so I just lowered the braids into the pan, finally dropping them. They shrieked all the way. I then dumped the remains out into the charcoal along with someones ruined hamburger. I decided to perform a (Christian ?) dedication ritual on the whole place,
not because I was a (Christian ?) but because I felt it wouldn't take if there
was the least trace of the defeated master still present. I could then feel
where it did take and where it didn't, so as to remove any remaining portions
of his influence.
