Jogging and Running

Tuesday. This was a fairly good morning for dreams, but not so good for recording them. One dream was quite clear and remembered until Wednesday evening.

Begin:   I was in a residential area very reminiscent of the hillside area of Burbank California, on the uphill side of Glenoaks (the wealthy side). I was in a hurry to get from one place to another and was jogging along at a reasonable pace. I am not a runner, nor was I in the dream, but it struck me in the dream I ought to get more exercise, and jogging around the block once in the morning wouldn't be a bad idea.

At this point, I was passed by a real runner, very muscular and dressed in shorts and a sweatshirt. He was maintaining a furious pace and forcing every step. I decided I had no interest in being a real runner.

Soon a regular jogger was just a bit behind me, and I decided to beat him to where he was going, not by going faster, but by taking a shortcut. I turned right down a side street, but it was a street before the one I wanted and dead ended. After a momentary halt, I took a narrow sidewalk between two houses to the next street. I started jogging down this street, but it proved to be the same dead end I had just left. I took the same sidewalk, but this time the scene shifted and I was inside a house in a kind of informal office area. This shifted into a scene where I was inside a small warehouse area looking at some brief cases and attache cases.
End.
