Albigensians and TiresThere were two dreams remembered. First Dream: I was explaining to an older woman the
destruction of the Albigensians in southern France by the Catholic Church.
I was telling her the repercussions could still be seen amongst the people
there even to this day. She protested she hadn't heard of or seen anything
about what I was telling her about when she had lived there for a short
time. I may have exaggerated about the present cultural evidence, but not
at all about the events themselves.
Second Dream: I had a large (Jaguar ?) sedan of about 1949 manufacture. Looking it over before driving away from a largely residential area, I noticed the right front tire had a threaded hook screwed into the side of it and was leaking audibly. I unscrewed the hook, but the leak did not slow or stop. The wheel was removed and I and a male companion were in a service station trying to get the tire fixed. I was working on it myself because I was having a hard time getting attention from the busy employees. As I pried it off it split crosswise because it had been slashed by a truck driver while I hadn't been looking. The truck drivers at this station seemed to feel my trying to get a tire fixed was distracting attention from their problems and they were resentful and intolerant. I was in a tire store buying a new tire, or a set of new tires from a woman attendant there. I didn't like the drain on my cash reserves, but felt it had to be done. I was on the road, a long straight stretch of freeway across the central
valley of (California ?), going to or from some metaphysical gathering. I
had a rider and is gear along.
