Egyptian Power

This dream was much longer than what is recorded here, but the opening sequences were all forgotten when I awakened. While this dream was not recorded until about a half month after its occurrence, the details were still vivid, because I reviewed it carefully in the morning and several times after to assure it was well set until I could get it written down.

Begin:   I was entering an alleyway behind a long row of shops. To my right was a stream, about 20 feet across or more, just below a short but steep embankment about 3 feet high. To my left was the row of shops, all jammed close together, leaving about 15 feet to the stream. The backside of these shops was built mostly of sheet metal, with much roofed over but with open sided space. Under the roofs could be seen steaming vats and fires and stoves. These shops made up a pork cutting, boiling and sausage making district. I do not remember seeing any people here behind the shops.

I found a place where I could turn left and get between the shops. Soon I was following a path through an open but very hilly area with scattered large trees. I had acquired a companion or two, but I don't remember anything about them. The companion/s did not seem important and did not stay close. We came to a building which had deliberately been built over the path. It was necessary to go through the building to continue on our way.

The first room was about 30 feet across by 20 feet from door to door. The left wall was quite close, and the room extended to the right. I walked directly across and entered the next room. This was about the same size, but the right wall was a large gray control and switching panel In front of this was a long desk or lecture bench behind which was a man, probably a scientist. I was aware he had constructed this obstacle to our passage.

The room had felt completely filled with a raw energy, which I knew was produced by the man and his equipment. Just half way through the door, I pointed my left index finger at the scientist and imagined a beam of energy going down my arm and out my finger in his direction. It went off my finger as a series of 4 inch diameter rings, which looked like the heat waverings over a very hot object. My energy wa not able to penetrate far enough in the heavy atmosphere of the room, so I retreated into the first room and went toward the right wall to see what I could do to disrupt his equipment.

In front of the wall were what appeared to be four or more generator sets about five feet long and 2-1/2 feet high, painted red and gray. They were very solid and built flush into the floor like big lumps. I could do no serious damage here, so I returned to the second room, and found the scientist gone.

I wondered why he would go off leaving this control center unattended, but as soon as I headed for the control panel I found out. The heavy atmosphere of energy remained, and trying to walk to the back was like trying to walk upstream in a fast moving river, and got harder as I went farther. I finally got behind the bench by a combination of masking my intentions and pretending in my thoughts to be the scientist himself. This confused the energy enough now and then that I could make my way across through pockets where the resistance had failed.

The back wall was divided into two halves, the left of which was just a blank gray set of metal panels. The right side was similar, but there were two hoop handles projecting. I tried pulling these out, and they came out easily, each trailing a pair of long zig-zag bars, but nothing happened. I decided I would have to open the panels and find what was behind them.

I moved to the left side, which seemed to have door panels in the middle. I opened these and to my surprise there was not machinery behind them. The back side of the doors and the interior of the shallow alcove were painted white. Set flush into the back wall of the alcove was the bust of an Egyptian God. "So, that's the kind of power it is!" I exclaimed. I returned to the right panel and started to find how to open it.
