Korean War
This dream occurred during the Korean War, which ended in 1953. It was fairly soon after the war with Japan and there was great prejudice against Asians at this time. Americans were convinced they delighted in killing and torture. As a child, I believed this.
This was a very short dream. In this dream I was apparently a soldier in the Korean War, and had been captured by Chinese soldiers. I was treated with respect and not harmed.
While this is the first time this dream has been recorded in writing (10-28-2022), it was very vivid and has been with me ever since. It significantly influenced my attitude toward other peoples and cultures.
