Business Visits- 01-04-2026Memory of this dream begins in a business environment, a large room with various tables, chairs and cabinets. On a table in front of me was a computer board of unusual size, about 4 feet left to right and about 2-1/2 feet wide, It had some fairly large components on it but it was definitely solid state, perhaps primitively solid state. There was a young man telling me that it wasn't working and it was important and needed to be back up and running. I looked at the computer board and said to him, "Well, I can't work on it without a keyboard and monitor". He fetched these items, attached them and tried to bring the computer up, but it stalled and left little on the screen. I told him I'd have a look at what I can do, but no guarantees, and If it was a hardware problem, I could do nothing. He nodded. Then I told him I'd need to know what brand of Unix it was running, and I'd need the root password. He said, no way could he give me the root password. I told him I would need it, and again he said no, so I told him, "That's it, I'm out of here". Next scene I was driving to another business meeting. On the road I came to a very steep decline, so steep I knew my car could not climb it to come back this way. I thought for a moment, then remembered another route I could use to get back, so I continued on. I entered the reception area of a building. It was a large room with a large, horseshoe shaped reception counter with a few people behind it. There were at least a half dozen guys standing around, all dressed in business attire, but not real high fashion. A couple of the suits were brown and looked a little wrinkled. I told the guys who I was here to see. They sent someone to find him who quickly returned and said he was not in the building, but was expected back soon. They told me I'd have to wait. I waited for awhile but he didn't show up. They sent me down a hallway to the right of the reception counter with instruction to see a woman in an office there. I found the lady in her office. She was perhaps in her 30s, in a black dress, medium length. In her black hair was a loose mesh of thin silver chains with with a few jewels at the junctions. I told her I'd decided to leave and to come back later. She told me she'd have to record my time, and sat down at here desk and started to write something on a piece of green paper. She asked me how long I'd been there. I thought a moment and said, about 1-1/4 hours. She wrote that down, but was then called away. I had been feeling a very serious bowel movement so as she was leaving I asked her where I could find a men's room. She thought a moment, but then I looked to my left and saw a room with a door open, and an open door on the opposite side. Through these doors I saw into another room where I could see a toilet, so I told her I'd use that one, and she left. I went to the toilet and found there were no doors to close, but the only person there left, so I decided to use the toilet, which was actually functioning (see Appendix). I did my business, cleaned myself, flushed, straightened my cloths, and returned to the lady's office. She was still not there, I waited awhile, and then decided to leave. Her office was the last along the hall, so I went around it to another much wider hall I presumed would also lead back to the reception area. While I was walking up the hall, a door opened to my left and a bunch of ladies dressed in Indian costumes came out. They were talking and started commenting on a large carry bag which was being held up. It had an elaborate wheel or starburst pattern in brightly colored thread work. These ladies started down the hall in the direction I'd come from. Then the lady in black came out of the room, She came to me and said, "I just can't stand the stress of my job here. Will you take me with you?". I Told her I'd love to take her with me, but told her this was a dream. I clarified that I was in a dream, and I'd soon be leaving. I told her I couldn't take back anything with me that I hadn't brought. She said "I understand". At this point, the dream started to fade and break up, and I returned to the waking world - but not completely for awhile, which is probably why I was able to pull through so much memory of it. APPENDIXDreams with toilet problems are very common for me. Invariantly I can' find one despite a long search, or if I do it's totally non-functional, very contaminated, or full of people. These dreams are so frustrating, I usually just leave the dream for the waking world. IN NO CASE have I found myself actually in need of a toilet visit upon waking. |
