Cooking a Necklace - 05-17-2024
In this dream I was involved in making a pot of soup stock that needed to be clear, and the chicken and vegetables in it had to be flavorful. The pot contained plenty of water, and in the bottom of the pan was a necklace of small stones. The purpose of the necklace was to maintain a perfect simmer. As the water came to a simmer, the stones would start to rattle. If the rattle was too loud, the heat had to be turned down.
To my current recollection, I have never heard of such a thing in the waking world, but it makes sense. If I can get hold of a necklace of small stones or hard beads I'll give it a try.
