The RaceThis dream takes place in a large building with a number of rooms. In the doorway between a large room and a smaller room, stood a young couple talking, the young man to my left and the young woman, whom I knew, to the right. As I approached, I made a cutting motion with my hands, and they each stepped back a little to let me through. I preformed some task in the smaller room, possibly with paperwork. When I came out, the couple was gone. I found the young woman standing alone and looking out a window. I approached her, and she said, without turning to me, "I'm sorry you lost the race". She added, "I just want to see a ring on my right hand". I told her, "The ring goes on your left hand". She turned toward me. I said, "You have every right to make your own decisions, and to learn from your own mistakes". She collapsed to the floor. I told her, "stand up and face me". She replied, "I cant". I stooped down and took her by the wrists, and helped her stand. She stood facing me. I told her, "You are free to make your own choices, but this guy is a wimp. Faced with the heavy responsibilities or a real relationship, he will cut and run". She stood and nodded. I then asked her, "Will you marry me?". Her reply was "Yes". I said, "Now we can go out and find that ring for you". Fade out. I was close enough to my waking world to remember this dream well, but do not know if my waking persona at all influenced the flow. |
