This April we featured compositions by a couple of exiles:
Kurt Weill, driven from Germany by the Nazis, and Charlie Chaplin,
driven from the U.S. by the Commie Witch Hunts (and women with paternity
suits). We also had a few pieces from the Theresienstadt Camp by
composers who didn't leave Europe in time.

Note: All compositions on Disk 4 were composed by inmates of the Theresienstadt concentration camp. All were written there except the last (cello) piece. All inmates, men, women, and children, were sent to the death camps in 1942 or earlier. |
