The Americas host persons from the entire world, and those with noodles
or pastas unique to their country of origin have brought them here. In the
Americas, they have been freely adopted by all ethnicities without regard
to origin or borders. With such richness there has been little incentive
to develop our own, but we do have some unique products.

These pastas are formulated to puff up when deep fried, as Rice Noodles
do. They are a very popular street snack in Mexico, variously seasoned.
They are available in North American markets serving a significant Mexican
population. usually in the two forms shown. Squares are 1.8 x 1.6 inches
and .085 inch thick. Wheels are 1.3 inches diameter and 0.12 inch thick.
Ingred: wheat flour, cornstarch, iodized salt, sodium bicarbonate and
color FD&C Red #40 and FD&C Blue #2.
