A Hungarian party essential, this cheese spread goes extremely well with substantial substrates like dark or whole wheat bread, rye crackers and the like. It may be a bit strong for white things. It was traditionally made from Lipto Cheese from Liptov, now in northern Slovakia, and served in Hungarian casinos. Lipto is a Feta type sheep cheese that you're not likely to find in your local market. Today a number of soft cheeses are used.
