Data Storage & Ice Skating

Several fragments remembered. The first, occurring just before a short period of being awake, was an exhaustive review of how data files are recorded on disk in binary code. I do not remember it well enough to confirm its accuracy, but it seemed OK at the time.

Another fragment involved ice skating in an indoor rink. Ice skating is something I have never done. The location was somewhere in the Midwest, I think. One person was complaining about how bumpy the ice was, and comparing it to how smooth the ice was in some rinks in California. There was a third fragment, but I don't now remember what it was about.
