Tigers and Cafeteria

Friday, Tax Day. Mine were mailed on the 14th. Several long and complex dreams this morning because I hovered near awakening several times. I did not, however, remember more than fragments. One was a fragment where I was trying to give some man my business card, but I was near awake and the card kept not being right. My dreams can get really flaky and unstable when I am nearly awake.

In another short fragment I was hiding from a tiger in what I thought was tall grass. It turned out I was hiding behind another tiger. This proved a good enough place to hide. This second tiger eventually just got up and walked away. The evening before I had received from the Los Angeles Zoo Association a sample copy of their magazine. It featured white tigers, but those in the dream were regular yellow ones.

The third fragment was best remembered. I was going through a cafeteria setting looking for someone with some papers. I looked for him outside where there were benches, but it was raining and only a couple of people were out there. Walking back through the cafeteria, (Donna McChesney ?) was sitting at the end of one of the long tables. As I passed, she said to me, "You know, I have a theory. (Lee ?)* has been getting nothing but shit assignments since he gave you the assignment of cleaning out the stables. What do you think of that?"

I replied that his assignments didn't look that bad to me. Then thinking about it I said, "Yes, compared to being division President, I guess they haven't been too good."

* (Lee Marshall ?) was a marketeer with a courtesy vp title at my place of employment in the waking world.
