Guru? / Interactive Map

There were several dreams of considerable length this night, but not remembered in fine detail. The second one (Interactive Map) is the more interesting.

Guru?:   I was with a number of other people, maybe as many as forty, participating in either a party or an informal ceremony, of something in between. At one point we walked in a line, myself near the front. I had a tiny wooden or reed flute (fipple flute, not transverse) and was playing little fragments of tunes. Not being a flute player, I couldn't do much more. I had some concern about annoying some of the other people.

The line got to where some important person (guru?) stood. This person shook the hands of the first few people in line, apparently the important ones. When he got to me he just passed by, and only shook th hand of about every fifth person down the line. This being passed by did not bother me. The people drifted away as soon as they had been passed.

End.

Interactive Map:   The second remembered set involved a large map of the world (not this world), various parts of which could be accessed in time and space by including the correct memory address (in hexadecimal?) in a short ceremony. You would actually be transported to that place. I discussed preferences for parts of the world with some other persons, one of whom may gave been my mother, and declared I liked a moderately forested and slightly swampy area.

This area had many large pine trees, but other types as well, and huge cactuses almost as high as the trees intermingled with them. There were cycads and other exotic plants as well. The animals were a strange mix of mammals, snakes, large lizards like dinosaurs, and other exotica.

End.

Today we have interactive maps, but the won't actually take you there.
