Doves and Cats

They are two sequences remembered from this night.

Sequence-1:   This sequence opens in an outdoors setting, a clearing surrounded by well spaced trees. In this clearing was a big wire cage with doves in it, but several doves were out. I had spoken to someone else, then went about catching doves and returning them to the cage. All the ones that had come from the cage were quickly caught, but there were also a few wild ones not interested in being caught, although one was moderately tame. I spent no time trying to catch the wild doves.

Sequence-2   This sequence was indoors and involved cats, about a half dozen or so, mostly gray striped ones. There was some fighting, and I caught the most aggressive one and tossed him out the back door. The cats were of various sizes and ages, so they were not evenly matched. There may have been a couple of tiny kittens, and there was a little gray mouse, nearly dead. The group of cats was joined by a large chocolate brown cat, so dark it was nearly black. I had remembered seeing it before, but it was not mine, and I was a bit surprised at seeing it inside. It had a face resembling that of the Cowardly Lion in the Wizard of Oz film, but completely chocolate brown. It had very dense soft fur of moderate length. I did not object to it being there.

End.

The cat dream followed immediately after being partially awakened by a cat making strange noises outside. Did the dove dream follow immediately after hearing the doves coo in the middle of the night as they often did? I do not know.
