Last Dream Before Waking
Begin: I was in a bookstore that also served lunch. The lunchtime crowd seemed to be a local group of literary types. The store had a couple of new Tarot decks and a new Tarot book I wanted to look at. I woke before being able to examine any of them, but did remember the picture on the front of one of the boxes. The figure probably represented the Hanged Man. It showed a man dressed like a Renaissance merchant chained or strpped to a cross, but with his feet firmly on the ground. The figure was drawn very wide like a Maurice Sendk illustration, with gentle colors consistant with that artist's style. There was another figure in the picture, a man with a short dark beard standing off to one side in the background.
