Tiger Girls

I was sitting among some medium sized rocks on a low but steep incline overlooking a narrow valley. On the floor of the valley was a small zoo with a row of cages facing me. Loose in the valley were a chimpanzee riding a tricycle and a zebra. Both were supposed to be rabid or have some similar disease.

I sat around, fiddling with an FN-49 rifle with which I intended to shoot the chimpanzee and zebra. I worked at mounting a telescopic sight and did a bit of showing off to some companions. When I actually got a clear shot at one of the animals (the chimpanzee) I had neglected to have any ammunition in the rifle. I loaded it, but the animals were no longer in sight.

I wandered off to the right, going diagonally into the valley. There I met some girls who were tigers. They were sitting around on some rocks with their duffel bags around them. These contained personal effects, including their tiger suits, as one of them showed me when I asked about it. The girls asked me why I had the rifle. I explained about the chimpanzee and the zebra and told them these had to be shot before the problem spread and we had to shoot others, including maybe tigers.

I moved on up the valley a ways, with the tigers, where I met and got into a discussion on an unremembered subject with a woman (school administrator?) who seemed to be in charge of the whole zoo thing.

Fade out.
