Steamship Jupiter

This dream opens on the after deck of the steamship Jupiter. The deck is of wood. A ship's officer is standing there dressed in white and wearing an officer's white hat. There were a couple of other people present. This ship had just finished being refurbished to make it seaworthy and similar to its appearance when newly launched. I knew that it had previously been used to carry cargoes of borax.

In the next scene, I was on the dock, looking at the port side of the Jupiter as it was leaving the docks and heading out to sea. The hull and superstructure were painted in black and dark green with red bands on the stacks. It had 3 stacks, but only one showed smoke and not much of it, so I presumed its boilers had been converted from coal to oil, as other ships of it's age had been.

The third scene is either a color photograph from the air, or a painting of the rocky coast of Ireland. The shore was to the left, and In the mid distance was a ship hard on the rocks, presumably the Jupiter. It was listing about 30 degrees to starboard, the shore side as viewed from the bow.
