Dharamshala

At the opening of the remembered part of this dream I was driving my old MG TC, with some idea I had recovered it from my late uncle's collection. There was a problem though, the generator was not charging the battery. I had to park it and continue on by foot. I was trying to get home.

On my way, I walked through a very large religious compound. It was named Dharamshala, after the city in India where so many Tibetan refugees live, but it was not in India or Tibet. The buildings were very complex, but not in Tibetan style. They were mostly composed of blocks or rectangles, and there was little decoration. They were, however, all painted in very brilliant colors in varying geometric patterns.

I was having trouble getting through and out the other side. There were people in the city, but they paid me little attention. They were probably all taking care of business related to the religion. I don't remember asking anyone how to get out the other side.

There is some forgotten here, but I was now on a country road, unpaved. To the side of the road there was an istallation of pipes, and possibly pumps, apparently carrying water. It was bright and new looking. While I was looking at it, some utility maintenance guys came up to it and looked it over, then saying it all looked OK, they left.

I went closer and saw what I thought was a hose fitting that was not a proper part of the installation, but seemed to tap off of it. There was a swaged collar securing the hose to a pipe, and I noticed a set of hose cutters with yellow handles, that had been dropped and fallen under the installation. I figured these had been used to cut hoses to modify the installation.

I was thinking I should alert the utility guys, but couldn't think of a way to do that. At this time, I started to wake up.
