Daisytech

This dream is about a company named Daisytech. There is a real company Daisytech that sells laser toner, ink cartridges and office supplies, and a Daisytek that sells printers and supplies in Arabia.

The opening of this dream is unclear. The house is the one that I live in, but some things are very different, for instance, the garage is empty and able to accommodate a pickup truck.

The main story here is that the company Daisytech was in the future, and meddling with the present. The present in this dream seemed to be back in the 70s or so, before LED screens were common.

In particular, Daisytech was sending advanced components back to the present. Capacitors were one, but there were others. These were used in the present to build electronic equipment, the sale of which would benefit Daisytech in the future. Apparently I had learned of this somehow.

In the garage was a pickup truck with a (possibly Mexican) driver who had loaded a very large screen TV in the back, apparently to steal it. The screen was larger than any I'd seen in waking life. Probably it was of Daisytech manufacture.

I was armed with a Luger, one with a shorter barrel than the one I actually own. As usual with my guns in dreams, it wasn't very effective. The truck started moving forward and the driver was ignoring me. I fired a warning shot through the pickup, but noticed no shattering glass.

The pickup finally pulled out and started down the driveway. I fired at the screen of the TV, but it did no shatter.

There were poorly remembered sequences of me back in the house working on the Daisytech problem. The first well remembered item at this point was two young women dressed in black on my front porch, walking toward the door (presumably locked). I was sure they were from Daisytech, so I moved to the back of the house and pretended not to be there, still holding the Luger. I may have escaped through the back bedroom door.

Later, I was outdoors in an area with lots of people. I don't know what the event was about, but I did see the two women in black there. As far as I know, they did not see me.

Fadeout.
