African Water Soup

This is from a period when I was very much involved in studying West African cuisine - but I had not encountered any recipe called "Water Soup".

I was somehow involved with people from four different African tribes, all intent on migrating to a new area. They were similar but with differences and regarded each other with suspicion.

All four had a dish called "Water Soup". These all included water, tomatoes and onions, but also had other ingredients that differed. This Water Soup was somehow symbolic of their differences.

Each of the four tribes presented me with a jar of their "only true version" of Water Soup. I mixed them all together and poured the mix into four four cup jars. I set them out for each group to take one as a pattern for their new recipe for Water Soup. I know one was taken, but the dream ended before they all were.
